Though I started my animation career as a character animator, many times I had the opportunity or the need to wear different hats and take my place in different stages of the animation production pipeline. I worked as a concept artist, designer, story person, layout artist ,character designer, editor, and compositor. I have found out that this has helped me to evolve not only as an artist but also as a producer. It became an especially valuable asset when I had to move to Greece and set up my own production company, Time-Lapse Pictures. Later on when most of the 2D animation work faded out and studios turned to the 3D productions I embraced this change and trained myself to the new needs of the CGI animation production. This has been evident while I was directing my first short 3D project and also when I worked for the "Off Mikes" broadband animations that earned me an EMMY award.
